See how this home got the desired high-end look without any hassle
It’s always very exciting for us when we are entrusted with a full custom job, so this time we decided to share one of our recent projects with you.
We were hired for to install custom porcelain countertops and wall panels in a kitchen and man cave in a spectacular two-story villa.
The breathtaking interior of the house was designed by a professional - our job was to add some luxurious details to this spotless modern design.
Let’s see how we handled this task!
The story behind this project
Before turning to Zsolt Granite Corporation, our client had already had a go at the kitchen construction with another remodeling company, but unfortunately, she wasn’t fully satisfied with the results.
That’s when we came into the picture and working with this client was an absolute delight!
She became one of our favorite customers because of her patience and her helpful and open-minded approach.
What’s more, she was also absolutely sure about what she wants, and how she wants it, making it much easier to do our job following clear instructions, and making sure that our client will get the results she wished for.
The materials we used for this remodel
We installed countertops, waterfall end panels for the kitchen island, full-height backsplashes and wall panels using porcelain slabs.
But why did our client decide to choose porcelain instead of going for a natural stone material?
The answer lies in the durability of these wonderful European porcelain slabs: they are 100% stain proof, heat-, abrasion-, and scratch-resistant and are easy to clean and maintain.
The truth is that nobody would be able tell these beautiful porcelain panels apart from stone panels – porcelain can give you the same desired sophistication of marble without the hassle and maintenance.
We used Italian porcelain slabs for this project from Emilceramica’s Level line.
In the kitchen we used Calacatta Gold for a bright and elegantly modern look, while in the mancave we used Granito Patagonia to give the room a stylish twist.
Before starting the installation work
First things first, before jumping into the installation work we had to assess the layout of the kitchen and measure everything.
After collecting all necessary data and information, we gave a quote and as soon as the client accepted it, we created the template using a laser digital templating device which gives us more accurate measurements even if the measured surfaces are uneven.
By utilizing this very accurate and effective templating method, we can always guarantee that our clients’ countertops and wall panels will fit perfectly.
Once we had the digital template, we were ready to start the production and a couple weeks later, we were installing.
The first steps towards a successful kitchen remodel
The kitchen area is not only a place for cooking but also for gathering and sharing a nice meal with loved-ones and friends.
For this reason, we wanted to make the immense kitchen island look clean, classy and inviting.
First, we installed the marvelous Calacatta Gold porcelain countertops and then the waterfall end panels to each side of the kitchen island.
The next step after that was installing the full-height backsplashes and wall panels around the windows.
The wooden paneling over the walls installed by the other remodeling company was left untouched.
The contrast between the white porcelain panels and the dark brown wall panels add a gorgeous twist to this kitchen.
Working on the man cave
A luxury home needs a luxurious man cave too, doesn’t it?
After a hard day at work, what better way to blow off some steam than inviting a few friends over to catch up with each other’s lives and maybe crack open some beers?
Well, our client would certainly agree with us.
In this room we installed stunning Granito Patagonia porcelain slabs as wall panels around the windows.
The wall panels’ bluish undertones, bronze streaks and glossiness perfectly complement the dark matte surface of the countertops.
Finalizing the project
Finishing the full project took us about one month including measuring, templating, fabrication and installation.
Out of that one-month interval, the installation itself was done in about one and a half weeks.
While the kitchen and man cave are still unfinished, we can’t wait to see and share with you, the end results.
We hope that our client and her family will enjoy their exquisite Italian porcelain countertops and wall panels as much as we enjoyed working with them.
